This brand-new event for the 2016/17 PDP programme builds on last year’s successful practical workshops by delivering a series of unique, hard hitting executive briefings supporting Archivists and Records professionals to raise awareness of the risks and strategic importance of protecting digital information to their Boss, Senior Managers and IT teams.

Following a networking lunch Practitioners are invited to attend an interactive workshop to further develop their digital preservation skills, working through an accelerated preservation programme using the latest digital preservation technology.

This is a unique opportunity to hear from industry speakers and global organisations about the value of having a robust governance strategy for long-term and permanent digital information.

Registration is via the event page on the ARA website - go to www.archives.org.uk/events and find the Practical Digital Preservation event on 14 June. Make sure you register yourself and at least one key stakeholder from your business.
